Ima Cripps, 84, of Sonoma, passed away on February 23, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Arkansas to Melvin and Rose Babbitt of Willits, Ima carried her small-town roots and strong work ethic with her throughout her life. She dedicated many years of service to the Sonoma Valley Unified School District as a school bus driver, where she was known for her steady presence, warm smile, and the care she showed to the children she safely transported each day.
Ima found great joy in tending to her garden, where she nurtured both flowers and vegetables with patience and pride. She loved traveling alongside her beloved husband, Lloyd, creating cherished memories together over the years. A spirited and competitive bocce ball player, Ima brought determination and laughter to every match, forming lasting friendships along the way.
Above all, Ima treasured her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Lloyd Cripps; her daughters, Lori Cripps (Bob Milano Jr.) and Cathy Cripps (Terry Muller); her granddaughter, Nicole Seelye; and her great-granddaughter, Grace Garcia. Her love, strength, and steady presence will continue to live on through the family she adored.
Ima will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, sense of humor, and the deep love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and unwavering family pride.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ima’s memory to Pets Lifeline.
